MotherMind Elevate: Negotiation as a Scientific Superpower with Dr. Jessica Merlin, MD, PhD, MBA
MotherMind Elevate is our high-value workshop series to expand your vision, sharpen your skills, and equip you with actionable tools to reach your next level.
Workshop Title: Negotiation as a Scientific Superpower
Workshop Description: Academia runs on negotiation—whether anyone admits it or not. From your first faculty offer to renegotiating for resources years later, the most successful scientists know when (and how) to ask for what they need. In this session, we’ll demystify the negotiation process: how to do your homework, what’s on the table (spoiler: it’s more than just salary), and how to navigate power dynamics without losing your footing. Learn how to turn negotiation from a dreaded conversation into one of your most powerful academic tools.
