Introducing the Mothermind transform january 2026 cohort!

Last week, we launched the third cohort of MotherMind Transform, welcoming 11 Scientist Mother faculty from 10 institutions — and the energy in that (virtual) space was undeniable.

As I facilitated our opening retreat, one thing became abundantly clear: spaces like this aren’t just valuable — they’re essential, especially right now.

🟢 Spaces where Scientist Mothers can show up as their whole selves.

🟢 Where the hardest parts of this season can be named, out loud, without apology.

🟢 Where being a rigorous, impactful scientist and a deeply committed parent are not framed as competing identities — and where the real challenges and joys of holding both can be acknowledged.

These MotherMind Scholars are doing extraordinary work — advancing critical science while raising children in a moment of profound uncertainty for both science and society. And now, they’re doing it in community.

We spent the day envisioning boldly and building peer coaching skills that will anchor this six-month journey — a journey grounded in reflection, practical skill-building, mutual support, and expanding what feels possible.

I feel deeply honored to hold this space.

And more committed than ever to building communities where leadership, wellbeing, and authenticity can fully coexist.
