Introducing the July 2025 Cohort of MotherMind Scholars

Our second cohort of MotherMind Open Enrollment brings together 14 Scientist Mother faculty from across 12 institutions — and wow, the energy in the (virtual) room was stirring.

As I facilitated our opening retreat, it became crystal clear just how critically needed spaces like this are — especially RIGHT NOW.

🟢 Spaces where Scientist Mothers can bring their full selves.
🟢 Where we can name our deepest challenges without apology.
🟢 Where we don’t have to choose between being a serious scientist and a devoted parent — or hide the toll it all takes.

These brilliant MotherMind Scholars are advancing cutting-edge and critically needed science while raising little humans in a moment of incredible uncertainty for both science and society. And now, they have each other.

We spent the day visioning boldly and training in peer coaching skills that will form the foundation of this 6-month journey together — a journey rooted in reflection, skill development, support, and expanding what’s possible.

I’m beyond honored to do this work.
And more fired up than ever to keep creating spaces where leadership, wellbeing, and authenticity aren’t at odds.
