Caught Up, Calm… and Slightly Uneasy

Ever find yourself in that rare moment where you're actually kinda sorta..... caught up? Inbox tamed, projects moving, no fires to put out—and yet… you feel strangely unsettled? (Even admitting publicly that I feel caught up feels ....wrong. Why?! 🤯)

It’s happening to me right now as I write this. I’m not behind. I’m not overwhelmed. I have space.

And instead of feeling peaceful, I feel... mildly uncomfortable. Restless. Like my nervous system is scanning for the next thing to fix or say yes to.

In my coaching with Scientist Mothers, we talk a lot about creating spaciousness—about reclaiming time and energy for what really matters.

But what we don’t always talk about is how strange it can feel when we actually get it. How the stillness can be just as hard to sit with as the chaos we’re trying to escape.

Right now, I’m trying to resist the urge to fill the space with a new project just to make the discomfort go away. I’m going to try to sit here, enjoy it for what it is, and keep practicing creating this kind of space.

Because maybe the work isn’t just about getting to spaciousness.
Maybe the work is learning how to let it be enough—without needing to constantly strive, prove, or produce.

Because I am enough. And so are you. 💚
